Variations on the theme of Japan as a military threat as seen in cartoons and posters from the Pacific War. Notice that the notion of Japanese as fanatical workers was a common theme at the time. It saw a revival during the 1980s as Americans and others began to whine about unfair economic competition from Japanese, who allegedly pursued their jobs with fanatical intensity.
