The Daoist Immortal Lu Dongbin (more on Daoist Immortals in a later chapter). He travels through the clouds riding on a dragon (= the dao). In his left hand he holds a bottle of the elixir of immortality, which he has uncorked. The elixir has wafted upward and has become another, smaller dragon (upper right). His apparently supernatural powers are in fact quite natural because he is in perfect harmony with the dao. You, too, could end up like this if only you would cast aside civilization and follow the Daoist path.
